Steel grit ,Crushing and grit screening division is equipped with biconical ball crushers, that allows crushing of any grade of shot with high productivity and with getting of maximum sharp grit edges to apply excellent abrasive features. After crushing grit is transported to grit screening area, which is equipped with the group of sequential vibrosieves. Feeding and crushing process as well as subsequent screening is also automated. This division is communicatively connected to heat treatment division with a purpose of imparting individual mechanical properties to abrasives in accordance with customer order.
The steel grit has exclusive abrasive properties due to high rigidity (resilience) of steel grit, which transfers the impact energy on the treated surface, but not on the deformation of granule.
Steel grit are angular grains in the form of irregular polygon that are produced from hypereutectoid alloyed steel having applied original technology of steel shot crushing with following sieving. The technology permits to obtain the most qualitative sieving of steel grit, providing best abrasiveness features with sufficiently high limit of durability. According to the conclusion of independent laboratory, the durability of our high carbon steel grit exceeds the nominal one of 2800 (+/-50) passes by 10-20% according to method Ervin Test, the durability of our low chrome alloy steel grit exceeds the nominal one of 3500 (+/-50) passes by 10-20% according to method Ervin Test ,which 100% corresponds to the standard SAE J445 K.
